SHAWOOD North Turramurra, 14 residences in the heart of Sydney's Upper North Shore are on schedule.
The construction of the first 5 homes is well underway, with these first homes on track to be completed by Q4 2025.
SHAWOOD North Turramurra is a collaboration between Sekisui House Australia and MHDP Architects.
MHDP Architects, Director, Benjamin Johnston says "It was a really great collaboration. It was about making these houses special and working with (SHAWOOD) design philosophy, their interests and their outcomes, they wanted to achieve on these particular sites.
"Also understanding where it's at in the whole of the North Turramurra area."
Sekisui House Australia Projects Director, Justin Soto, adds "Together we've blended SHAWOOD signature design principles with MHDP's creative and local market expertise to create homes that aspire to create new benchmarks for this beautiful area."
Located near the Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park, these homes represent a new standard for SHAWOOD in Australia and were designed to strike a harmonious balance between luxury and environmental responsibility.
"The thing to recognise with these particular sites is they have a big strip of biodiversity controlled trees right along the whole street-front," Johnston continues.
"And whereas most people would look at that and say 'that's a problem'. Sekisui House came in immediately and said "No, that's an opportunity."
"We want to make use of that and celebrate that. Let's make sure that as we are enjoying our homes, they become a feature of the home.
"So, you see in a lot of the homes, the tweaks and design changes we made was primarily about finding those ways of getting the ease of inside and outside .
"That we're bringing the outside in, and the inside out. That was probably the most exciting thing to see how well SHAWOOD's design philosophy meshed with our own.

"And we could really push that out to say, let's utilise the opportunity with all of these beautiful houses and landscapes actually bring to the house designs. We will see that absolutely played out in the end result (with these completed homes).
Spanning a range of traditional and modern façades, this collection of homes is harmoniously unified by a consistent materiality and colour palette.
Each home effortlessly transitions from inside into an outdoor living and entertaining space. This secluded haven invites you to relax and reflect, surrounded by a landscape that celebrates the local biodiversity.
This boutique collection of SHAWOOD homes consists of 14 residences and first homes are due to be complete by June 2025.
