Sekisui House Set to Deliver Resort-Style Living in Sydney's Melrose Park
Leading residential property developer and home builder, Sekisui House Australia, is set to deliver increased housing choice to the community of North-West Sydney as it submits Development Applications for a further 836 apartments at its Melrose Park urban renewal project.
The proposed development marks Stage 5 (368 apartments) and Stage 6 (468 apartments) of Sekisui House Australia’s award-winning Melrose Park. Plans for Stage 5 include one, two and three-bedroom apartments, while Stage 6 encompasses two towers ranging from 20-24 storeys offering a mix of dual-key multi-generational apartments and one, two and three-bedroom apartments.
Alex Grujovski, Project Director, Apartment & Mixed-Use Development, Sekisui House Australia, said: “We’ve been part of the Melrose Park community since 2015, having delivered more than 650 homes to date and welcoming a thriving community to the area.
“We’re very pleased to be kicking off the next phase of development at Melrose Park, delivering a much-needed housing choice to Sydneysiders in the North-West. And it’s not just about delivering housing, it’s about delivering homes that will last for generations, with a focus on healthy and happy living.”
Situated on an elevated aspect of the site, the latest stage of development will offer residents panoramic views towards Sydney CBD, Parramatta River and Sydney Olympic Parklands and will feature a rooftop pool and recreation deck.
The design intent promotes a resort-style lifestyle with diverse internal and external communal spaces, that help residents prioritise health, wellbeing and connection. A strong connection to nature is paramount throughout with an abundance of landscaped green spaces, private garden, play area, open lawn and BBQ areas. This includes a publicly accessible through-site link, forming part of a larger north-south connection that will link new residents with the central park, schools and future town centre.
Melrose Park’s prime location offers seamless road, rail and water transport connections and is just 30 minutes (by car or train) to Sydney’s CBD, with Stage 2 of the Parramatta Light Rail recently receiving approval and State Government funding, meaning improved convenience for the community.
Pending approvals of the Development Applications, construction on Stages 5 and 6 is expected to commence in 2025.
Sekisui House Australia’s $5 billion Melrose Park project is set to transform into a thriving new community upon completion, significantly enhancing the housing supply in the north-west of Sydney, with 5,500 homes, a commercial and retail town centre and extensive parklands. Stage 3 of the development, Pulse and Pavilion at Melrose Park North sold out in 2023, and Melrose Park Village, with business workspaces, wellness facilities and a large internal private park, has appealed strongly to first home buyers, who made up 60% of apartment purchases.
