MELROSE PARK RECEIVES INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARD
The first stage of Melrose Park, One Melrose by PAYCE and Sekisui House, has received international recognition, with a second place in the World Design Awards 2020 for Residential Concept.

The World Design Awards is one of the world’s most prestigious awards for high-rise architecture. It recognises outstanding work that redefine architecture design through the implementation of novel technologies, materials, programs and aesthetics. The World Design Awards also examine the important relationship between good architecture and the community.

Melrose Park will transform a 30-hectare site into a modern mixed-use community. The first stage of the project, One Melrose which comprises 277 units, located at the corner of Victoria Road and Wharf Road, is nearing completion.

Allen Jack + Cottier (AJ+C) Principal Michael Heenan said: “With buildings embedded into the landscape, and the latest amenities and transport options, we think it’s going to be a great place for families, and a great place for professional couples. A place where life can happen at all levels.’’

Boston Marketing Managing Director Rhys Morgan, who is selling the project on behalf of PAYCE and Sekisui House, said the award was further evidence that Melrose Park would be a special place to live.

“While a lot of innovation is going into this precinct to make it easier for people to live sustainably, a simple but crucial part of the project is making the precinct enjoyable for pedestrians, which is why the landscape and urban design elements are core features.”
