Melrose Park Coming to Life
Melrose Park has reached a new milestone, with scaffolding coming down on the second stage, The Residences.
With the external construction work complete, the crane which has towered over the building has been dismantled. Inside, tiling work will soon be complete. Kitchen and wardrobe joinery installation is now underway on the higher levels. NBN Broadband installation work will continue in the months ahead, with all apartments connected to a super-fast service.
The Residences is due for completion in the third quarter of this year. Residents have already moved in at One Melrose, and work has started on the third stage, Pulse and Pavilion.
In other news, residents now have a bus stop located opposite the new Putt Putt Park.
The Melrose Park Rider is a private shuttle bus service that runs from Melrose Park to Meadowbank Station and Ferry Wharf.
The shuttle, which opened in February 2019, is a free hop on and hop off service.
Project Director Simon Adams said the service had been well patronized since its inception.
“The Melrose Park Rider is a convenient, easy-to-access service that provides an important transport link,” he said.
More bus services will be added as the project progresses, and more people call Melrose Park home.
