Gledswood Hills Community wins 2022 UDIA National Award for best Masterplanned Development.
The Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) has awarded Sekisui House the highly coveted National Award for Excellence in Masterplanned Development for its Gledswood Hills community in Sydney’s South West.
Group CEO and Managing Director, Hide Seguchi said, “As a global sustainability leader, our core philosophies of sustainable design and lasting value for future generations have been embedded into the Gledswood Hills masterplan. The well-executed development pays respect to the existing landscape, heritage of the site and biodiversity. The team has worked tirelessly to deliver this award-winning project, creating better homes for Australians to live in.”
Gledswood Hills seamlessly blends open spaces with advanced landscaping and the retention of mature trees to create topographical character. The integration of contemporary architecture within a highly landscaped suburban neighbourhood provides a sense of immediate character, belonging and community, keeping with the historical values of its local area, Camden.
Executive General Manager, Craig D’Costa said, “It is a great honour to be recognised by the UDIA for the best Masterplanned Development in Australia. For over ten years, we’ve been proud to showcase our philosophies at Gledswood Hills, creating enduring spaces that bring people and nature together.”
Contributing to the win, the vibrant community comprises over 40 hectares of landscaped parklands and reserves, inclusive of 10 neighbourhood parks and playgrounds. There are more than 50 kilometres of cycle and pedestrian pathways, a purpose-built 2.5-kilometre green corridor that traverses the development from the north to south – incorporating Gledswood Hills Reserve, Gledswood Hills Primary School and a dedicated retail and neighbourhood centre.
“We are continuing our final stage of the masterplanned community with Norman Estates, an Australian-first partnership with golfing legend Greg Norman further enhancing the vibrant community,” added Mr D’Costa.
Bringing together lifestyle, luxury and design, the Norman Estates residential community commenced development in 2021, with the first stage of residences now complete. An exclusive resident lounge will be completed later this year, including a resort-style pool, gymnasium, tennis court and BBQ facilities.
A luxurious selection of 3, 4 and 5-bedroom homes are now available. Display homes are open daily from 10am to 4pm at 1 Hewitson Court, Gledswood Hills.
